Sevenhills Wholefoods Organic Acai Berry Powder is made from freeze dried Acai berries which are milled into a powder. The berries are deep purple in colour with orange flesh and a large-sized seed inside.
The botanical variety we use is Euterpe Precatoria and the physical texture of this variety is different to the more commonly used Eurterpe Oleracea variety. The former can seem dryer and slightly gritty in nature and this is largely due to the significantly lower fat content of Precatoria when compared to other varieties.
